Framingham, Massachusetts - Music Festival

Join us Saturday, August 9, 2008 at the Marist House Retreat Center, 518 Pleasant St, Framingham, MA for the 8th Annual Proud 2B Catholic Music Festival!

This year's event will also be the official event for youth for the Bicentennial Celebration of the Archdiocese of Boston, and Sean Cardinal O'Malley is scheduled as the Mass celebrant.Sean Cardinal O'Malley

The event will run from 1 pm to 9 pm, is open to all ages, and will include Holy Mass, Adoration, Reconciliation, Music, Keynote talks, over 10 various types of inflatable games by AllAboutFun.us, an International Food Court, Catholic products and more. For the youth and families, Holy Cross Family Ministries will once again be hosting an Interactive & Learning Tent. A complete schedule will be released in July. Be sure to visit CatholicTV's table in the exhibitor tent!

The stage lineup of Musicians will include: Tony Melendez, Martin Doman, Kelly Pease, Zealous, D-Major, Sammy Blaze and others to be announced, including new family and bilingual performances.

Speakers
in the auditorium will include The Donut Man with a family concert for all ages, Didi Jeremie - an exceptional Gospel singer,  Sr. Olga Yaqob with a talk titled "Amidst darkness, love and hope are the final answer", Fr. Joseph Bachand, MS and others to be announced soon.

Worship leaders in the adoration tent will include: Jon Niven, Bernie Choiniere, John6 and others!

Co-Hosts for the event will include: Father John Welch, MS, Father Matt Williams from the Archdiocese of Boston's new office of The New Evangelization of Youth and Young Adults and Ms. Wendy Mejia.

Singer/Songwriter and speaker, Sean Forrest will make a special presentation about Mission Haiti, Movin' with the Spirit's new efforts to build a new medical center in Haiti. You may see more at Haiti300.org.

2008 Ticket Prices have been reduced to allow more people to take part in this celebration. Because of this, there is one low price for general admission. We are also hoping the reduced ticket prices will allow more youth to afford the inflatable games section during the event.

General Admission: new price of $15.00 per ticket
Seniors: $10.00 per ticket
At the gate, one price for all: $20.00 per ticket

*Children under 12 are FREE with adult admission. Tickets will not be distributed for children under 12, but each child must be accompanied by an adult.

As always, this event offers a picnic type outdoor atmosphere. Please come prepared for the forecasted weather, and plan to bring your own chairs or blankets for the outside stage area. Inside options during the day include: Breakout auditorium, Holy Cross Family Ministries Learning & Interactive tent, Adoration tent and the Exhibitors tent. Please do not bring coolers. If our attendees do not support our food vendor, everyone loses out.]

12:45 Eucharistic Adoration Procession from Chapel to Grotto (meet at Lourdes Statue at outside Chapel door)
