What is the Proud2BCatholic Scholarship?

The Proud2BCatholic scholarship is an essay competition open to all students who are preparing to go to Franciscan University of Steubenville the year of the contest as new freshmen or transfers. We post the essay topic and assign a deadline to submit the essay to Franciscan University. After the deadline, Franciscan University reviews the entries and selects winners. Each of those winners receive a $1,000 one-time scholarship as they enroll to Franciscan in the fall.

2012 P2BC Scholarship:

The deadline to submit essays for this year's scholarship is January 31, 2012. Submit your response to this year's question in essay form to: proud2bcatholicscholarship@franciscan.edu with the subject line: 'Scholarship Application Essay.'

THIS YEAR'S SCHOLARSHIP QUESTION:

"Forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 3:13-14

Describe the call of God in your life and the way you believe He wants you to press on toward that goal. The essay needs to be approximately 250-500 words.
